The 2009 Itasca Horizon 40 was a luxurious Class A diesel pusher motorhome manufactured by Winnebago Industries. It was built on a Freightliner Maxum XCL chassis and offered two distinct floorplans: the 40TD and 40WD. The Horizon 40 featured high-end amenities like an 8.9L Cummins diesel engine, UltraLeather furniture, Corian countertops, and plenty of exterior storage.
HWH hydraulic leveling jacks came with three-position controls.
Key features included Thermo-Panel sidewalls, interlocking joints, and a one-piece fiberglass roof with a 10-year warranty.
The motorhome offered a sizable 205 cubic feet of exterior storage
A power retractable entry step, rear video camera, and slideout awnings were standard.
The interior featured elegant wood cabinetry with hidden hinges and antique nickel hardware.
UltraLeather furniture was used for the cab seats and living area seating, which included a Rest Easy multi-position lounge.
Ceramic tile flooring was standard in the galley and bathroom.
