Chinook was known for its precision work, 1st class equipment, and wonderfully designed interior.
This type of unit has portability, versatility, and a single axle with 4 tires on the rear, which makes this safer to drive that many RVs.

The One and Only Chinook 2500 HYBRID: Lounging/Dining Comfort AND 2 Person (2 beds) Comfortable Sleeping
The following text and photos depict recently completed, professionally crafted, custom 'Living Room' (dining/lounging/sleeping) upgrades to my Hybrid Chinook. My new Living Room space has 5, easily executed, modular-type configuration options.
The Chinook 2500 totally earns its reputation as an awesome, elite vehicle in its class. The ONLY weakness I've found, in 3 years of ownership (6 months use), was in the 2 Living Space configurations:
-2 Lounge Chairs w/ fold-out dining table
oEliminates a second bed option. Not 'friend friendly; The Sofa/bed sleeps two Mates, but requires inside sleeper to crawl over outside sleeper; ok for day or two, but...
-2 Bench Seat Dinette
oI bought this configuration to eliminate the above sleeping problems, for both friend and Mate considerations. The consequence was a marginally comfortable ~6 ft dinette bed and two bench seats that were ok for dining, but zero on the lounging comfort scale. As Lounge precludes 2nd beds, Dinette precludes Lounge Chair(s).
6.Major Accessories:
a.Electric Pressure Washer, unbelievably valuable in exterior washing
b.Cargo/bike carrier, (connects to rear trailer hitch)
c.2nd Bench Seat,
d.Subwoofer.
e.Exterior Astroturf Carpet for under awning (+/- 8X10 ft)
